How to read these pages

Every entry follows the same shape, because a reference that reorders itself per compound is not a reference.

• Sequence is given in standard one-letter code where the molecule is a peptide, with the full three-letter form beneath it. Modifications — acetylation, amidation, non-standard residues, cyclisation — are stated explicitly, because they are the whole difference between an analogue and the thing it was drawn from.
• Formula and molecular weight are the free base or the stated salt, and which one is named. Where published sources disagree, the figure is omitted rather than averaged.
• CAS numbers are given where a registry number exists for the exact species. A number for a related salt or complex is not substituted for a missing one.
• Origin says where the molecule came from — which protein, which organism, which parent sequence. That is chemistry and history, not a claim about what it does.

What these pages will never contain

No effects. No protocols. No concentrations presented as doses. We describe the molecule, the testing, and the certificate — and we stop there. That is not modesty, it is the line every reputable supplier holds, and it is the same line drawn in our RUO agreement.
