Refund Policy

This policy sets out when an order from Alpha Aminos can be returned or refunded. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Why this policy is restrictive

Alpha Aminos supplies research chemicals whose value depends entirely on their integrity. Once a vial has left our custody we cannot verify that it remained sealed, that it was stored as its label directs, or that its contents are unaltered. A returned vial can never be resold, and re-entering it into stock would compromise the guarantee every other customer relies on.

For that reason, products are not returnable once dispatched, except in the circumstances set out below. This is standard across the research chemical trade, and it is the same rigour that produces the certificate in the box.

2. Cancellation before dispatch

An order can be cancelled at any time before it is dispatched, for a full refund. Contact us through the contact page as soon as possible — in-stock orders placed before 2:00 PM MST ship the same afternoon, so the window is short.

3. When we will replace or refund

We will replace or refund an item in the following cases:

  • Wrong item. You received a compound, quantity, or presentation other than the one ordered.
  • Damaged on arrival. The vial arrived broken, or its seal arrived compromised.
  • Off specification. The lot does not meet the specification recorded on its certificate of analysis.
  • Lost in transit. Handled under section 8 of the Shipping Policy.

In each case, report it through the contact page within 7 days of delivery, quoting your order number and the lot number on the vial, with photographs where there is visible damage. Keep the item and its packaging until the claim is resolved.

4. When we will not refund

  • Items that have been opened, used, reconstituted, or decanted.
  • Items ordered in error, including the wrong compound, quantity, or concentration, once dispatched.
  • Items damaged, degraded, or contaminated after delivery, including through storage other than as the label directs.
  • Claims that a product did not produce an expected outcome. Products are supplied against their stated specification and certificate; no other performance is represented, and no outcome in any test or subject is warranted.
  • Orders detained, seized, or refused entry by customs, or refused at delivery.
  • Claims reported more than 7 days after delivery.

5. How refunds are made

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. We aim to process them within 5 business days of approving a claim; how quickly the credit appears is then a matter for your bank or card issuer. Where a claim relates to part of an order, only the affected items are refunded.

Where an item is replaced rather than refunded, the replacement ships at our cost.

6. Return shipping

Do not return anything without contacting us first — unauthorised returns cannot be processed or refunded. Where we ask for an item to be returned, we will provide instructions and cover the cost of return shipping.

7. Certificates and disputes over specification

Every lot ships with a certificate of analysis recording purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry, from an independent third-party laboratory and from our own. If your own analysis of a lot disagrees with its certificate, send us your data through the contact page with the lot number. We will investigate the lot, and where the discrepancy is confirmed we will refund or replace it and re-examine the batch.

We would rather be told. A certificate that does not match the vial is a failure of the standard this company exists to hold.

Effective 2 September 2026.
